Legoland California is a riot this season, as the Carlsbad park lets kids pretend they have some East Coast blood. Grab your boots and winter coats and get into the spirit, as the SoCal sun shines, upbeat Colbie Caillat tunes like ‘Christmas in the Sand’ play and kids get a chance to sled in between riding the rides.
My family and I arrived late afternoon, and it was perfect to get in some midday cheer, which we then paired with the night lights and sights of the season. 
Who can resist a good old-fashioned snowball fight? My kids clearly couldn’t, nor could my husband (the biggest kid of all, I think).
As sun sets, the big Legoland Tree turns bright at the 5pm lighting each night. Stage fun and seasonal music also adds to the festivities. You’re really feel the winter wonderland around you come alive as the temperatures drop and the hot cocoa is brewing.
